I think another reason they use a phone number is that it can mitigate issues with people or bots creating hundred of accounts maybe
Can you create voice rooms in mattermost?
Thank you I’ll try it out :)
Yea that is kinda what I have been noticing aswell. I don’t want perfect privacy like hiding my phone number with signal.
I just want to talk with my friends, share my screen and have text channels without being harvested for data :)
Element has all of this, the only problem I encountered is that everyones mic is suddely quite noisy as we are used to using discord’s noice suppression. I gues you have to sacrifice something for privacy. And I heard it can be quite a pain to self host, but I still have to try that out myself
Thanks, I hoped the software would have been a bit more developed by now. I don’t have the time to mess about with it sadly
Hoe is the pinenote? I have been debating on buying one
Oke whatever dude buy the gripen have fun, I’ll gladly buy the f-35. And I’ll continue my life without insight haha wtf
The finnish and swiss did not agree, both concluded that the f-35 would be economally better over the entire lifespan of the planes. Buying a new plane requires you to look further than one month of flying
🤓☝️ source? It doesn’t take much reasoning to see that a new 5th generation aircraft first produced in 1987 is quite mediocre compared to the american wizardry that is the f-35. The gripen is a fine 4th generation aircraft, but it is not a 5th gen. Don’t get me started about eu engine production as well. We are behind, and we need military funding.
Don’t bring this guy to a party
You might want to give the login information as google accounts dissapear quicker now if inactive
I advice using protonmail for decent privacy (e-mail is inherently not a really private way of communicating but proton is still your best bet)
It doesn’t seem to support my RTX 1070 :( and it would also not work for my friends
But thanks for the reccomendation
I tried that with noisetorch, but it quite amazingly destroyed my linux haha. I still don’t quite understand how. That isn’t the problem, the problem is that there are too many hoops to jump for my friends to get started without a whole bunch of background noise.
But thanks! I’ll still look into that to investigate if there is something really easy
The only thing holding me back from using it is that it doesn’t remove the background noise of my mic well. (I also have to convince my less privacy minded friends and they really don’t like the extra background noises)
What do you do when you want to share your screen?
