21·1 year agoShortcuts to move windows on xfce (there’s somekind of python script but i don’t want to bother) and discord and a few xorg wrapped apps are so fucking laggy on wayland
Land of the lustrous had it right all along
Yes kde connect is really cool, i like to put on some music before bead and this way i can skip and tweak the sound ! Very useful!
I recently tried plasma after xfce and damn ! That shit is slick af, ut’s so polished and satisfying to use ! Also the krita on kde experience is just incredible
Don’t call it garbage! It’s doing it’s best okay ?!

Linux@lemmy.ml•Low resource system activity reporting tool? i.e. "What caused that CPU spike on my laptop 10 mins ago?"
91·1 year agoSudo cpupower -c all frequency-set --max 0.8GHz No more spikes 😎👍👌
I had a similar issue with my asus, and some dude made a workaround, if you’re motivated you can always make your own heat / speed setup with fancontrol

10·1 year agoThis seems interesting, never seen it before.
But i’d say be careful as there’s not much information on the screen (refresh rate, gamut range) and it’s great to brag about you being able to switch parts but there’s not much info on that, i’d be surprised if you can swap anything beside the ssd and some ram. Also the marketing is a bit weird, the keyboard is showed at all time but the price shown is wothout until you try to actually check the price… Kinda scummy if you ask me.
A part of me still think it looks a bit like a barebone low quality tech that is almost useless in it’s option-less, low spec state.

2·1 year agoI got a 2060 super and i must say i’m very happy, i do 3d stuff so the ray tracing was plenty useful and despite it getting a bit it fairs pretty great in most games and the price was okay at the time (500 €still a bit high since it was during the bitcoin mining madness =-=")
Yeaahh this game tends to do that to people…

Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•Any way to reset Lutris + Wine to "factory settings"?English
2·2 years agoThere’s another comment that explains it in more details than me but it’s a hierarchy of files your C://user/you/appdata…etc and since it branches into multiple choices you can call it an arborescence if you will.

1·2 years agoIt creates an arborescence that contains the necessary library for you application to work with a thick layer of magic on top of that to make it all work. This is were my understanding is at at least
