Borders are absolutely in the star Trek utopia. Everything has borders. What we do about those borders is the difference.
Each quadrant, solar system, etc has borders. These are even more arbitrary as the current state, county, and country borders across our world tend to follow natural terrain or longitude and latitude. None of these exist in space. But the quadrant borders are as easy to cross as for me to drive to my next US state. However, the Kardassian border is not so easy to cross, just like it’s not so easy for me to cross into North Korea.
Borders are not the inherent issue here. Conflict is the inherent issue, and borders are how we try to minimize that conflict.
Lol, yeah, that started reason doesn’t hold up well. Your basic urine drug screen (UDS) will flag benzos (midazolam in this article), natural opiates (not fentanyl and those derivatives), cocaine, barbiturates, marijuana, amphetamines, and I think that’s it. The only ones likely to cause fetal withdrawal are benzos and opiates. Works well enough for benzos, but withdrawals are pretty rare. The most common are opiates, but the most common opiates won’t show up on the UDS. So why use it?
The latter is called “doctor shopping” and it absolutely happens.
The goal of the advertisement is to have the patient be interested, not the doctor. Admittedly some doctors are not up to date on the latest obscure cutting edge treatments, so there is some possible benefit. However, most doctors are capable of performing cost benefit analyses and understanding side effects, but when a patient comes in asking for a medication, it definitely tips the scales towards the medication.
Thanks for looking into what I’m clearly too lazy to do! A quick lazy Internet search shows that Biden’s cabinet appears to be mostly “only” millionaires according to this.
That article also compares Biden’s to Trump’s previous cabinet. And references Obama’s. I would like to note that framing this all as “measly millionaire” is so disconnected from the remainder of America.
Seeing as politics is always a bunch of self serving in-crowd of rich folks, I’d really like to see this for the previous few presidents to know if this is a unique thing to Trump.
When the moon hits your eye, like a big pizza pie, that’s CMV.
Yeah, good point. And fuel density and accessibility.
I guess I just really like space physics without fake gravity, but instead being generated by thrust. And the realism of the time everything takes to travel.
Far superior option. Mostly because it has real space physics with minimal hand waving.

Really interested in this. Care to elaborate or share any sources on the matter?
This is my third time coming across this topic today. I was waiting for additional information, but I wonder if there is any history there. Maybe the sheriff has been feuding with the family for a while and wanted to use this as an opportunity to exert dominance. Maybe they suspect the kid has truly been causing trouble and so are using this as an opportunity to track the kid and see.
Overall, seems like an overreaction, especially in small town USA.
Real question. If Trump goes to prison, does Vance take over at president? If so, would Trump be eligible for another since he only served one term due to this?
I enjoyed watching that when it was first created! Any word of a 1080p for that one? I’d even take a release of the timestamps so that I could make the edit to my 1080p versions.
Massive non sequitur there. Taliban does not have military bases on US soil to fortify with 100 personnel.
I’m not disagreeing that the US is assisting in genocide. Has been for a while, and the top two projected candidates for US presidency will further perpetuate this.
But this 100 troop movement is insignificant and is being played up for drama and clicks.
First off, as with every time domestic terrorism is discussed, US armed forces cannot carry out hostilities on domestic soil.
Second off, it’s 100 personnel. Barely a blip on the total number of deployable personnel, and it’s an air defense group without offensive capabilities.
Clickbait is clickbait.
Yeah, we tried that one. I didn’t think anyone’s stomach volume is large enough for that amount. None of us could get past the 45 minute mark.
Sounds like a fun game! Depending on tolerance, maybe beer instead of shots…
Reminds me of the game thunderstruck. Get everyone in a circle with a few drinks on hand. Start the song “thunderstruck” by AC/DC. First person starts chugging and on every time they say “thunderstruck”, that person stops chugging and the next in line starts. Very fun but uneven. Once the into starts, one person is chugging for a bit.
This is directly contradictory to the current CDC statements on the matter, updated today December 18:
“No person-to-person spread of H5 bird flu has been detected.”
