I had a hell of a time trying to use Gmail and exchange email from the terminal clients I tried. Mostly because of security features. I never got it working but aerc looked really nice.

Llama does have some details on GitHub about this. According to them, no, it does not send data anywhere. You can also monitor network traffic to watch for it sending anything it shouldn’t. If you don’t want to do that, firewall it.
If you want to learn more, then you will need to move away from casa. Casa is pretty much just a collection of custom docker images that play well together and with their interface. You could grab an old computer, install Linux, and do more but you would expend more time and effort.
yeah, dont buy digital. If its not available as a physical product steal it.
Yeah, not cut and dry at all. OPs article didn’t have the chat logs. Looks like it told him not to commit but did demand loyalty. He changed his wording from “I want a painless death” to “I want to come home to you” to get it to say what he wanted.
It sounds like you are a bit too personally invested in politics. It’s good to be involved but when you start lumping everything into political leanings you should probably step back a little.
I don’t think this is the fault of the AI yet. Unless the chat logs are released and it literally tries to get him to commit. What it sounds like is a kid who needed someone to talk to and didn’t get it from those around him.
That said, it would be good if cAI monitored for suicidal ideation though. Most of these AI companies are pretty hands off with their AI and what is said.
The worst I have done is wipe out my home directory. Backups are good, I was able to copy everything back and it was like it never happened
That’s just planting trees with extra steps.
I’ve been thinking about this as well for TTRPG notes and info for myself and others. I have a few raspberry pi laying around and it should be pretty easy to get something like Mediawiki (the same thing Wikipedia uses)some other wiki engine running on one.
That’s why she says “they” instead of who she really means. She can always claim to not be a part of “them” and the label can be applied to any group people want. Keeps the hate train running on schedule.
Don’t let her fool you, she’s in the government and has a say in where the lasers are aimed.
Yeah they are popular, they do a really good job of making content available that would otherwise get scattered across a dozen services if it’s even picked up at all. Yeah, the creators deserve to get something for their work but the free market will not provide a good option.
Nah, most of the windows ones don’t get updates any more and the Linux ones can get a script that updates on boot. Takes longer to start up but handles the job itself.
And I’m pretty clean each time too so it’s not exactly collecting a ton of dirty. If it’s used for something other than me fresh out of the shower then it goes straight in the wash. Otherwise it gets washed when I do laundry each week.
I feel like this repo is bait. The license is bad and violates the TOS but if they can convince a judge that it’s legally binding then they already have over a hundred targets who have forked it. They really messed up by including the shoutcast source and some Dolby code, although the Dolby stuff is questionable.
Didn’t uBlock origin just stop working with Chrome?
I watched a video on methods for detecting AI generation in images. One of the methods was comparing the noise on different color channels. Cameras have different noise in different channels while AI doesn’t. There is also stuff like JPG compression artifacts in other image formats.
So there are technical solutions to it but I wouldn’t know how to automate them.
No one has mentioned Phasmophonia yet so I’ll throw that in the ring
Between my wife and I we make 200K a year. We have a roommate to help pay bills because between her chrones disease and our kids health issues we can’t afford to live. She has been without her chrones medication for 6 months because the hummers was causing problems and the new prescription has been in limbo between pharmacies not wanting to deal with it or her insurance and her insurance continually sending her to pharmacies that don’t accept her insurance. Medication that is easily affordable and available in other countries is dangled just out of reach while she suffers.
