  • I used to play one of those demo disc games where you get to fly an aircraft and do missiona, but back then i had bo clue what the mission was i was just happy being able to fly.

I never stopped playing games, i was always taught that you can’t pilot when you’re colorblind so i was convinced video games would allow me to do things real life would never let me.

Skyrim really caught me and after that cyberpunk took it’s place, i just love being rewarded for your work and getting to do cool shit with that money.

Real life barely feels like you’re being rewarded anymore imo.

I’m just so tired of ads nowadays, ads for cars i can’t afford, ads for crap i’m never going to buy, ads for the supermarket i’m going to no matter if they have some discount…it’s all useless and a waste of my time and invasion on my peace.

I bought the devices, i pay for the internet connection and i pay the rent on this house, i decide what makes it inside my house.

I don’t need this funny clip my supermarket made to market overpriced holiday food 46 times a day that lasts 60 seconds and is only funny the first time i see it. I’m not going to buy a tiny christmas cake that barely feeds a child for €15, realistically it’s value to me is €1,50 compared to my wage and amount of food i get in return. I’m buying store brand m&m’s and a loaf of bread like i do all year.

If you can’t keep existing without shoveling truckloads of ads into my face, then go bankrupt…i don’t give a damn. You’re not worth €16 a month to me either or whatever the price is nowadays. Just fuck off i’ll get my entertainment elsewhere, heck i might dust off that ps4 and buy used dvd’s for 25 cents a piece.

  • I do have insurance, as we’re legally required.

Haven’t been to a dentist for years even tho i need it, the money isn’t there. Insurance only covers it for a small amount if you pay a premium, which i’m not doing obviously.

I went to my childhood dentist after being unemployed and homeless, dad was convinced the government would get me a house and when i lived with him they told me “no, that’s the old system”. He didn’t believe me so he kicked me out because he was so sure of himself.

When i got to the dentist after a couple of years he started pointing out what premium things i needed and how i could afford them after saving the money from the years i didn’t go. I tried to explain to him like an adult that i had lost my savings and was pushed into homelessness and unemployment.

He then decided to get his ego bruised and started calling me names.

I got pretty sick of his childish behaviour and decided to never come back.

I tried a differenr dentist when i was actually ready and could see myself build up the funds again, but i ended up having to move for a job and life has only gotten more expensive while my wage stayed stagnant.

Right now i’m making more, finally but it’s at a job i’m not sure i can physically handle. It’s been 4 weeks now and it’s 4 weeks of backpain and painkillers to keep going.

  • Deals are there, many are not worth the wait and the real (good) deals are often less desireable items.

At least from what i’ve seen myself.

But i always hope the more expensive stuff gets a discount so i can get something better than what i would’ve bought otherwise.

Right now there are a couple 4080 super’s discounted but it’s only like €80 difference for a model i would only buy if the difference was larger, so i almost ended up buying a non discounted 4080 super model.

  • I do photography, archery and 3d printing.

Photography seems to only invite critique, archery tends to be a short subkect of conversation but 3d printing usually leads to the most questions and takes up a larger part of the conversation.

When i played bass, no one really showed any interest other than one friends who caught me playing a small part of something i was figuring out how to follow it up and wanted to sample it. Which eventually led to nothing.

I designed a silencer for airsoft in fusion360 and already sold 10, a friend asked me to print a spitfire and i eventually summoned up the idea to make some spitfire exhausts he could mount on his spitfire themed mini cooper, my archery club has these plastic stars that tend to be used on the carnival for air guns so i designed some custom ones with their logo “just because”. I also printed some trophy’s which i still have to give out.

Once you get a reliable 3d printer and learn the software well enough, it is an amazing hobby.

The wife paints miniatures (think warhammer for example) and she needs plinths for her competition models. So i shit out a custom plinth within an hour including print time. It’s so awesome and after 5 years i’m still amazed when i get to hold something that was nothing more than a digital design a mere hour before, i have a mini factory inside my house that only produces what i tell it to…it’s absolutely insane.
