“Can you get me some more water?”

In my headcanon, DOOM 2016’s player character was a genderless force of anger incarnate. No boobs, but power fantasy for sure.
In that vein, if you wanted indie games, you could look for any recent boomer shooter like Viscerafest (yes girl), Ion Fury (yes girl), or Selaco (yes girl). Searching for the “boomer shooter” tag on Steam seems to yield a lot of female protagonist power fantasy games
The only boomer shooter I’ve played lately is Prodeus which doesn’t have a female protagonist but can definitely exemplify the strengths of the boomer shooter subgenre
If you like Prey 2017, and you want to kill things like an absolute monster, and you want to play as a girl, Dishonored 2 is a good fit for all of those things. It’s not indie, and I’m not sure you can see boobs, but it’s a great game by any measure (though it’s not well optimized on PC). It’s not an RPG and it lacks the large skill tree of Prey, but it is an action-forward stealth immersive sim with cool eldritch super powers.

Wait, who are we voting for?
Who did I say I was gonna vote for?
Why did Trump run uncontested?
I’ve heard that some people who have ADHD can have a real hard time with “transitioning” from one frame of mind to another as is required for starting a new task of any kind. I imagine people who don’t have ADHD can also struggle with that sometimes
Just like “Room (2015)” and “The Room (2003)” right?
11 years? Since what? Prey 2017 came out… 8 years ago?
Also, in what way are the two games comparable aside from the title? Isn’t the first one a linear FPS while 2017 is an immersive sim?
I just mean to say I don’t see any sort of barrier preventing the US government from sending the military in to massacre its own civilians

That’s exactly what I was thinking. I feel like we’re months away at most
I like natural more as well because numbers aren’t real and claiming otherwise is just blue-balling all the nerds
Maybe they wanted to avoid making them that much more like Master Chief. Then again Master Chief is personified by his voice
Tangentially related but I miss the days when the 2016 DOOM Slayer was yet to be confirmed as the original DOOM Guy from 1993. I thought it was way cooler to think that the Slayer was a genderless force of anger against evil and the fully-covering Praetor suit made it easy to think of them that way
If you’re still buying Call of Duty games, you’re asking for this.
There’s nothing to gain from buying the latest Call of Duty EXCEPT for the latest in in-game advertising tech

I’ve been relatively impressed that the image/emoji generation on my iPhone has all been done on my device. Every time I’ve used it, I’ve checked the “Apple Intelligence” server requests log and it’s always empty (until the one time I asked it to generate a photo memory).
My phone gets pretty hot instantly, then churns through 3% of the battery in a minute but it’s still running on a local system with the local battery.
Honestly, it’s clear SCOTUS cares as much about precedent as your average billionaire cares about the livability of the planet 100 years from now so hearing that they’re not going to listen to a case like this is refreshing
I get that people don’t like it for a wide variety of reasons. However, there are 2 things I absolutely adore about it:
The combat. Not so much the clunky clicking, but the way it strong-arms you into engaging with the alchemy and bestiary like an actual witcher would have to. Witchers don’t stand a chance against most of the monsters they fight without those stupidly potent potions and acute knowledge of their weaknesses.
The atmosphere. The game may be ugly up close, but every single map, every environment oozes with dreary medieval vibes or swampy fantasy. I don’t even think I can say that it’s good “for a low budget game” because the atmosphere stands the test of time. The developers had an idea for how the game should feel as soon as they started designing it and it shows.
I went back to play the first 2 games before replaying the third and finally finishing CP2077 a few years ago because I wanted to see how CDPR’s skills changed, and honestly? They haven’t, at least not in regards to making a game immersive. The only thing that’s changed is the budget and scope of their games because holy hell I’ll be damned if every one of CDPR’s major releases hasn’t been among the most immersive video games ever created.
First movie that comes to mind is the Power Rangers movie starring Bryan Cranston from like 7 or 8 years ago. Went fully expecting another Transformers-esque butchering of a nostalgic trip. Was delightfully surprised by the deep and relatable characters. I recommend it as an above-average super hero movie.
