Honestly I’m in a similar situation. Discord seems to be the way to go, but it’s hard to look past the privacy issues and enshittification. IIRC you can rig up Matrix to work with discord “servers” but I don’t see how that would solve the root problem.

Here’s hoping we’re find a solution.

First of all, that’s very well put. Secondly, voting is anonymous for a reason. What happens at the ballot box is between you and your conscience. Nobody has the right to tell you how to vote. Third of all, fuck, man, I’m so tired of living in this reality. Jesus Christ we really are at the point where we have to choose between endorsing genocide or something even worse. This strip has always rubbed me the wrong way. If you make a statement in a public forum, don’t be surprised when the public responds. They are not entitled to your attention, but you’re not entitled to their silence. I will not be providing any sources to back up my position, but I’m sure your requests for them will be very witty.

I have always been a nintendo fan, but I haven’t bought a single thing from them since news of his sentencing came out. Until Gary is freed I’m buying used, pirating, or doing without. I can’t support the company anymore. I need a new controller for my switch (because all four of my existing controllers have broken in some way), and rather than buying an official or licensed controller, I just bought an adapter that let me use other controllers like the dualsense.

Side note, I know he’s “freed” as in not in prison, but he’s still basically owned by nintendo for life. It’s slavery.
