Exactly. All the creepy shit Dukat did toward Kira was directed at the daughter of his sex slave. Dukat was such a fucked up villain on so many levels.

I hear that if you’re famous they let you do it…

Nope, I can’t finish that, not even as a joke. It just makes me too sad to think that way - sorry for ruining the joke. 😢

watching Marc Alaimo talk about Kira/Visitor in the DS9 doc What We Left Behind made my skin crawl. he came off like 100% of the creep Dukat was and that he wasn’t acting. And hearing Visitor talk about him also sounded like she was trying very hard to be nice and let on that Alaimo was/is a total creep.

i don’t know the real story, but that’s sure the vibe i got.

Well, that’s always disappointing. Didn’t Terry Farrell say that there was quite a bit of misogyny, too? Particularly from producers.I wonder how much is a toxic environment from there, how much is it normal behaviour at the time. Glad we’ve progressed. That’s the point of trek.

this is a real rabbit hole to go down, but, long story short, Rick Berman and Brannon Braga were horrible to all of the women in the shows the produced, and Berman’s treatment, in particular, is why Farrell left DS9. He was extremely horrible to her.
