Hello. I recently thrifted a Fellow Aiden for around 100 bucks. Aside from not having a box, it was brand new and hadn’t been used. I got it without really knowing what I was getting myself into. It’s a Fellow product at 75% off, so I bought it.

So far, it’s putting out solid cups of coffee with the default settings, but I want to see how much farther I can take it.

Does anyone out there have one of these things? I’d love to hear about your brewing process and the settings you tinker with.

      There might be something like that on the app, but I doubt it’d be of any use with local beans. I’ll look in to it, at least.

      fellow is high quality stuff that’s also well-designed. it’s not cheap though.

      the aiden is like a next-level drip brewer: it’s got a peristaltic pump instead of a bubble pump so you can specify ratios to the milliliter, it’s got a servo controlling the drip valve so you can program steep time to the second, it’s got graphing capabilities to show temperature over time in different areas… it’s proper nerd shit.

      A buddy of mine put me on to them. I own a Fellow Ode gen 2, which is a countertop grinder, and I love it.

      Fellow is a pretty decent coffee brand. They’re a little confusing in their position, some stuff is super high end (their kettle and scale specifically) where other stuff is squarely in the budget end (their grinder for example). I own their kettle personally and have considered picking up the machine in OP’s post. Their scale is absolutely massive for a coffee scale though, so not really for me. But it is very well made. Meanwhile their grinder is plastic body and priced similarly to other good-but-cheap grinders. It’s kind of funny that they have a kettle, a scale, and a grinder all at around the same price. It’s also funny to see their name on lists of high end kettles and also on budget grinders. I really like their style though, they’ve got a very distinct product design that I’m personally a big fan of.
