Looks like a Business professor might have gone down the MAGA hole and was essentially blacklisted in education. Heavy.com has a whole background on this guy if you care.

I don’t know if MAGA is necessarily accurate. The stuff I’ve been reading, his interests seemed more varied than that, yeah, he points to the Fountainhead by Ayn Rand and I think there was one link to some Alex Jones bullshit, but it doesn’t seem universal in his opinions.

He DID seem to have a mild obsession with Las Vegas though… one of his former students called that out. So maybe he cracked when UNLV denied his job application? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

His academic and teaching history seems solid, lots of positive comments.

One time I tried to listen to Alex Jones, and I felt like I was being mentally tortured. He’s like if a schizophrenic used too much cocaine and then sat next to you on the bus. After a short time, I reflexively turned it off. It was as if my hands moved on their own in order to protect my brain from harm.

I don’t know what this bio said about the shooter and Alex Jones, but if somebody told me that they regularly listened to Alex Jones, my reaction would be to wonder if they are mentally stable.

To an uneducated moron, Alex Jones makes a lot of sense. To anyone with a bare minimum concept of the world, he doesn’t.

I understand what you’re saying must be somewhat true, or else he wouldn’t have a following, but to me, he literally sounds like the craziest crazy person you ever see on the bus. Just ranting and raving about imagined conspiracies.

I think there are very few of Alex Jones listeners who would feel comfortable if one of those other people sat next to them on the bus and started ranting, but they somehow voluntarily subject themselves to something that is virtually identical.

It’s funny that you compare him to a crazy guy on the bus because the first time I became aware of him in like 2007, he was standing on the side of the street with a bullhorn in Austin TX ranting the most crazy shit. Still, there was already a crowd around him, and some were nodding along as if he was making some sort of sense to them. I’ve never seen that with any of the many other crazy people ive witnessed ranting in public, so he must seem a bit more sensical than your average loud crazy person. It’s just hard to differentiate between the two unless you’re a moron.
