They pushed all good brands off our market.
OnePlus gone, Motorola doesn’t sell flagships. What’s left is Google (ad tech) and Samsung( locked bootloaders). God I hate these 2 remaining brands they are pushing on us.
Fairphone has recently started directly selling in the U.S., there is still hope for the Americans! I believe the new Fairphone (Gen. 6+) is going for 650 USD, which is pretty good for a phone that will be supported for 8 years in terms of software + a 5 year warranty + easily unlockable bootloader to install custom ROMs and even mobile Linux!
Yeah I saw that but I would prefer larger size. 6.8-6.9.
It’s a hell of a lot better than a (new) Pixel or Galaxy device. If you don’t like the Fairphone, you might want to look for used devices then!
And Apple.
Well, this is the Android community. Apple does not produce Android devices, and the devices they do produce are incredibly locked down (more so than Samsung or any other brand)
The article is about the smartphone market in the US. Not the Android market.
