Those look like mock strawberries. I’ve heard they don’t taste too good.
They look like mock strawberries to me because the seeds project out rather than being in a dimple.
Mock strawberries taste very watery. Not necessarily gross, but not really desirable either.
vesca’s seeds grow out, virginiania’s are dimpled.

yah, mock strawberries, in my experience, don’t get that big.
i’ve never had the vesca, but i grow virginiania, and while small, they are very delicious. vesca is very similar, from my understanding.
