Shot I took in my backyard, on Vancouver island. This little Junco is a regular at the feeder.
Looks like a cross between a sparrow and a coal tit. What it is?
its a Junco
usually follow the snow line as it moves sound and north
We get them in Washington State in the cooler months and once the snow hits, their numbers really start to go up. They are such cute little characters, they love to hang out below feeders but rarely use a feeder. They usually travel in groups and seem to be best friends with the chickadee
They’re pretty cool characters. This one likes to get on the window feeder and kick all the seed out even if it’s just hulled sunflower.
they probably eat the stuff off the ground or eat the bugs the seeds attract
Woops. Junco as thisbenzingring said. Added the name to my post. Thanks. 👍
