Elon Musk and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent got into a heated shouting match in earshot of President Trump and other officials in the White House last week during a dispute about the IRS, two witnesses and three sources briefed on the matter tell Axios.
Bessent criticized Musk for overpromising and under-delivering budget cuts with DOGE. Musk clapped back by calling Bessent a “Soros agent”

I’m genuinely shocked by this. But only because I didn’t think Bessent had the spine or the personality depth to get into a heated argument with anyone. The guy comes across like a timid sloth on Valium, and has all the personality of a wet sock.
Someday in the medium-far future, after all the nurembergish trials and hangalangs feel like a distant memory, some producer and streaming service will reboot the West Wing, only it’ll be the Trump West Wing and those future people will get to watch the unbridled escapades and think that’s kinda just the normal way politics happened for us primitive morons.
