Imagine loving beating your dog so much that you’re willing to kill someone over it.

Even if he didn’t save that particular dog, he probably saved another now that a dog beater is behind bars.

If it bleeds, it leads. Good news is all over the place, you’re just not told about it because it doesn’t get eyes. Even this can be viewed as good news. This man’s act of kindness, while he died for it, ended up sparking a lot of feelings for people and creating a moment of people realizing the importance of standing up for those who cannot defend themselves. While I don’t wish this on someone, how noble that Bobby is now known as the guy who stood up for a defenseless animal. Remember Mr. Roger’s “look for the helpers” comment.

Thankfully I’ve already found and subscribed to c/upliftingnews, but it’s not nearly as active as I’d ideally hope it to be ☹️

I feel like I’ve seen a few things recently that would be suitable, but I can’t recall them right now (my mind always goes blank when I try to summon memories like this). Your comment has caused me to make a mental note to try posting there if I stumble across anything suitable.

Tons. Just not nearly enough to outweigh all the bad news.

Maybe we just got legal in your State? That might be good news! Otherwise, bourbon also frequently makes me feel a lot better

But that’s just what I do. Smoke and drink. They got me through 2016 to 2020, and it will hopefully get me through 2024 to 2028.

That’s right, this fuck bag will be president until 2028. Yikes.

For context, Star Trek predicted that World War III would start next year and last for the next 30 years. After 25 years of some real horror show bullshit, the Vulcans come and visit us, and we unite as a species to finally establish both a world government and restore order. After that, it’s basically all of Star Trek in our future.

Let’s hope they were right about that. That’s what keeps me going.

If I make it through this horrific disaster, I’ll see both of the unity of mankind and the first visit by the Vulcans in 2063. I’ll be 85.
