This week I have been grinding a lot more Binding of Isaac. Finally made some progress on Jacob and Esau.
Also been playing more Indiana Jones. Game is so dang good. Finally left the Vatican, I don’t want the game to end!
My son and I will start playing Path of Exile 2 Early Access tomorrow. We’re excited!
Finished Disco Elysium. I think I made pretty much the same choices as my first time years ago. I’m still not a huge fan of the ending, but now that knew what to expect, it wasn’t as jarring. When I do another playthrough in a couple of years, I might have to be a stealing racist or something, but I like Lieutenant Kim too much and probably won’t go through with that.
Then more Windblown. I beat the game on the first three difficulties (of five) now and unlocked almost everything for now. I’ll definitely try to get through everything, it doesn’t seem too hard.
Finally, I started Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. I’m still very early on, but I hope I’m finished by the time FF7 Rebirth is out. This game has proper turn-based combat, not just RTwP like the first game, which I like a lot more, even if it’s much slower.
Been playing Splatoon 3 for the first time in half a year or so.
Have Indy on the go on the XBOX, but also returned to Foundation, which is still in early access but making good progress as a more informal town builder.
I pulled “I was a teenage exocolonist” off my waiting list and it’s been fantastic, honestly. Neat but not ground breaking pseudo deck building gameplay but really engaging story in a nice cozy setting but without the kids gloves that usually comes with it. I’m having a great time
Finally actually started Endwalker in FFXIV and I’m enjoying it.
Tried Outward with a friend. We liked the initial quest, but we didn’t enjoy the game after that and didn’t feel like continuing it. We are trying Guild Wars 2 now, and it’s enjoyable enough, but I’m a bit confused on what to do and why do it.
We also have been playing Rabbit and Steel.
Found my old DSi and decided to play some Pokémon SoulSilver
Octopath Traveler II for me. The music is mind-blowingly good.
No Man’s Sky, Stardew Valley and Citizen Sleeper recently.
I just got Ballionaire on my desktop and it’s more fun than I ever thought it would be. It’s a Balatro situation where at first it didn’t sound like a fun game to play, then I played it and it’s up my alley. Only things I personally don’t like about it are the dancing stick figure things on the main menu or when a run is over, but that’s just personal preference more than a critic of the game.
I also got into the 2.01 update of Pokemon Rogue Emerald (Emerald Rouge?) and even though it’s a lot different, I’m enjoying it so far.
Besides that, have not doneuch outside of mobile gaming since I have to RMA my deck.
Just acquired Grim Dawn in the steam sale thanks to another post on Lemmy last night. Gameplay-wise, I’m enjoying it, but playing on my steam deck is slightly problematic as it won’t show a cursor when I’m trying to select anything (inventory, skill tree, etc). So I have to keep using the dpad until I can guess where I am and navigate that way.
Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered.
Needed a full remake tbh. Some odd bugs as well, genuinely baffling in places. A couple of the new textures look worse than the old ones. A quick save/load feature would have gone a long way at the Drowned Abbey. SR2 combat isn’t hard (once you realise that the blocked attacks are still damaging the enemy despite having absolutely no feedback) but everything is so much more of a chore than the first game, and there’s nothing outside the main path to discover.
Tomb Raider 3 Remaster.
A game that makes you say “this level is a pain in the arse” on every level, but at least it has quick save and load. How I ever did this on PS1 with limited saves I’ll never know.
Astro Bot.
A glorified advert for all things Playstation, but a nice trip down memory lane regardless, as well as being fun to play.
Desperados III because I somehow can’t seem to get Shadow Gambit started.
Project Zomboid just released version 42 beta, so all PZ all the time for me. I’m just living the farming life and getting into the new crafting system in between smacking zombies. Very satisfying.
Euro Truck Simulator 2!
The Greece DLC released about a month ago, and I just picked it up in the last few days. Lots of fun so far, the map is starting to get pretty big. I’m planning to do another long haul across the whole map at some point.
