Perfect example of the power of language. It’s striking what the article does not say – no mention of (alleged) motive, no mention of health insurance industry practices and United in particular, no mention of Luigi’s impact. Very cop- and prosecutor-friendly piece describing the mechanics of the charges, and treating these events the same way the media treats so much else: episodic, not narrative. This is not an isolated episode, this is tied to larger trends – so where is the mention of those trends and how they impact Luigi’s actions?? Even the parts about his handwritten notes don’t really talk about this!!
