Death Stranding, on paper, sounds like the most boring game ever.
And yet I didn’t just finish it, I chased after achievements! I built all the highways! I 5-starred all the bunkers so I can get dumb little bookbag attachments and get digital Guillermo del Toro to approve of me.
I look forward to the yawn fest that will be Death Stranding 2 and how boring it is. And then I will play it for 100 hours.
It’s a really high budget game for how niche the idea is. I also wasn’t expecting to get so hooked, but there was some good strategy as to how you plan out your journey and what risks you are willing to take. Those Dualsense haptics were 🤌
They knew what they were doing when they wrote that clickbait title.

Death Stranding isn’t about making deliveries. It’s about the quiet crunchiness of walking on snow or wet leaves. It is a beautiful game.
