XKCD
Calvin & Hobbes I guess doesn’t count.
Always a fan of Slack Wyrm
Pokemon the Previous Generation
These are the main ones apart from my crippling xkcd addiction
Mr Lovenstein has some great shit
And of course xkcd will always have a special place in my heart
Ive been following Questionable Content and Grrl Power for years.
Also another +1 for Pepper & Carrot.
I recently stopped reading Questionable Content, it just feels like a mockery of what it used to be. I resisted it for a while but eventually I just couldn’t take it anymore. I think my breaking point was somewhere around 1015?
I tend to go in bursts. A week or three of not readimg, then catching up all at once.
Its just one web comic ive really imvested in the characters that is still around. I do still enjoy most of the storylines.
I go back and re-read the older comics a lot. Every once and a while I’ll say fuck it and do a full re-read, but that gets harder every day lol. I have attachments to so many of the characters, I’ve been reading it since freshman year in high school - but even then, that was like 7 years into the comic lmao
I’m a big fan of the weekly roll (webtoons), a silly fun D&D comic that used to release weekly, now is a bit more sporadic but still good.
Also on the subject of sporadic D&D comics, The Order of the Stick is an extremely long running comic that is very well made and humorous.
Ended now, but Go Get a Roomie is a slice of life LGBTQ+ comic, mildly NSFW, that’s fun to read and currently doing a rerun.
And as everyone else has said, XKCD is always a classic.
xkcd, smbc
Florkofcows is great.
I don’t have a single favorite one, so here is a top three, in no particular order:
Freefall The first webcomic i read, started in 1998 and still updating three times a week.
El Goonish Shive Another longrunner, started 2002 and still going. Helped me with figuring out some gender stuff.
How to be a werewolf Newest one on the list, starting in 2015, also still going.
PBF and Extra Fabulous are probably my favorites. Strange Planet gets an honorable mention.
Recently found litterboxcomics. Works best if you are a parent.
I think False Knees has to be it. Beautiful illustrations and heartwarming writing
Edit: One of my favourites from them It’s part of a chill 31-part storyline, which I recommend reading from the start
I’m boring. Xkcd and Oglaf.
Three Panel Soul, which doesn’t update often. The archives have some real gold; I just wish there was a good way to search them.
Twistwood Tales is clever and cute and sometimes really tugs at the heartstrings.
Dustinteractive, which has ended it’s run.
OGLAF once in a blue moon when I need a dose of the bizarre.
Also xkcd, SMBC, and Perry Bible Fellowship, of course.
FlorkofCows. Not the most traditional webcomic, but I love just how off the wall and unpredictable his comics are. Goes from wholesome to hilarious to WTF on a dime.
