That’s true. I just don’t know of a lot of mainstream things that have deployed it quite yet. Like I do not think HTTPS is post quantum secure, or at least not that I’m aware of.
Oh, good catch. I don’t have to use it, so I wasn’t aware of that. I just knew it existed.
I use Proton and it has this bridge application where it connects to the Proton servers and then serves your mail to Thunderbird or whatever locally. So that might work for you, but I’m not sure.
Quantum computers could feasibly do it. However, even Google’s project willow at 105 qubits is not enough. Because if it were, we would have much bigger problems like, oh, I don’t know, the encryption that protects your bank account and HTTPS connections.
I keep a little bit in the bank, like enough to pay my bills and such, but any extra I put into Monero.
The FBI can go fuck a duck. Use encryption or else. You are a fool.
I keep my money in Monero. That way, it’s me who has to be targeted instead of an institution. And if I fuck up and lose it, it’s my own damn fault.
One big reason I’m hesitant to keep my money in banks is because banks think the best form of two-factor authentication is text message based 2FA and I’m like that’s barely any 2FA at all.
I am enjoying SimpleX chat
Been saying that for years. It’s about damn time.
Because I can’t imagine how that could go wrong at all. /s
This right here ppl. Read it and dont say u werent warned
Properly worded headline: Top Senator Warns Sweeping New Surveillance Powers Will “Inevitably Be Misused” by us
There’s not as much tinfoil in your statement as you might initially think as sad as that is to say.
I heard somebody mention you find out what the license plate of a police officer is and put it on them so that they’re the one that has to deal with the legal repercussions so that they will learn either that or they’re very close family.
I agree. I’m totally down for anything that makes surveillance of the population harder. And if this fucks with automatic license plate readers and shit like that, I am totally all for it.
I remembered why I turned off the show available updates toggle and that’s because I really don’t want the notifications telling me which apps are updating or have been updated in my notifications. It would be a nice addition if there was a page in the app that showed recent updates.
This is why I don’t think it’s presented well, because that’s the only thing I get from it as well.
I’m not surprised due to my involvement in the Monero community, at least some people I know from previous online chat rooms are there, but I don’t know anybody directly in person like from my day-to-day life that uses it.
