8·10 days agoI have only met her 3-4 times, but I’m sure she spends a lot, I don’t know if in million in a month, but for sure couple of millions a year at the bare minimum. She has rented a bungalow in Singapore with a pool, that shit alone costs around a million a year.

171·10 days agoI know this woman that is a friend of a friend, she is hot by almost all definitions. She is i think 45 right now, but still looks fine. She is trying to find a guy to marry for the 6th time. Her plan is straight up pretend to be richer than she is, get married to rich growing people and get divorced and ask for significant money. Her first marriage last 10 years but 1st husband made millions while they were married and she got a 80m settlement. That’s when something clicked in her. She has “earned” (I say earned because that’s what she says she does) another 180m from 4 other marriages after that.
She is a complete deplorable person, but fuck if she isn’t being smart here. She puts money in trust to retire well and make sure her daughter is well taken care of. Only thing I feel sad about is, she is teaching that to her daughter as well. Daughter is about to turn 18 in next year or two, and already talks about finding a billionaire for the daughter.
Only thing I would give her, she does help her friends quite a bit. Our common friend actually got around 40k for downpayment for the house. And from what I see she does treat our common friend quite well despite our common friend being just another pleb like me.

Android@lemmy.world•There's one group of Android users Google's new sideloading rules won't affectEnglish
6·11 days agoInstalling any apps I want is the only reason I’m on android, if I have to suck it up and bend over backwards for my phone company, I’d buy apple, it’s a much better phone most of the time, better build quality, lasts a few more years both hardware level and security update level.
I mean I’m not switching, but some family members who rely on me for advice on what phone to buy, I don’t think I can recommend android in good faith.
Makes sense.
It looks great but what’s with the price?

In my experience, attractive people are used to get what they want because society subconsciously favors them. I’m not generalising as there are plenty of attractive people that are good human beings. But I think attractive people tend to be narcissistic than their non attractive counterparts.

1·1 month agoEnglish for me, because when I started using computers, no one made computers in my mother tounge. And when they did come into existence, I had already had 2 decades of experience in English computing.
The idea seems to be have such a robust egg that it will lay dormant for millions of years till some other species is naiive enough to come into contact with them.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•It is always the ones who aren't even trying.English
9·1 month agoI know this couple that tried for 6 years went to doctors for 4, gave up hope and adopted two babies. 5 years later (15 after they first started trying), they got naturally pregnant. But wife was already 47 at the time, they didn’t think they could care for three financially. Plus the wife was mortally afraid of developing favor over the biological child over adopted. So they just aborted it.
But I always remember them fondly for trying to do right by the two babies they adopted. Strength of Hercules on that couple.

People believe eating them restores fertility. People eat hairy frogs.
