hmmm, maybe it’s the extension that’s not passing the referrer information in my case? I am using “Old Reddit Redirect”. The URL in that search result still shows www.reddit.com when I hover over the link, and when I open it and the browser extension changes the URL to old.reddit.com which is where I get the login prompt.

I guess other extensions might rewrite the link destination, but then that would require more access to the extension to read/write the contents of every site visited, which is too much for me.

OP showed a screenshot for old.reddit.com which is the older UI from ~2014. I have a rewrite rule in an extension that turns all reddit links into this to get the better old UI even when clicking through from a search engine result, and got the same message a few hours ago.

Porque no los dos? Of course don’t feed reddit with content for them to sell, or aimlessly browse the frontpage. If you need information on a niche subject, or refer to something that happened in 2011, don’t burden yourself to avoid reddit. Just set yourself to be in read only mode with ad blockers to the max so you get more from them then they get from you.

I had a coworker who tried something like this on a federal holiday, ended up bringing down production on everyone’s day off, and ruining a bunch of people’s days to clean up the mess just because someone was trying to go above and beyond.

Some of that plot sounds like You Were Never Really Here which is a great movie though, although less of a critique of modern society like Falling Down is, and more about a guy destroying a human trafficking network.

Didn’t he snap because he was in traffic to work and his AC broke, and then at a corner store, the clerk wouldn’t give him change so he could use a payphone? The McDonald scene is iconic, but by that part, he’s already smashed up a convenience store and stolen a gun from a gang, so he was beyond snapped.

TBH the second season didn’t do it for me, enough I don’t care to try the third. The first season was alright, but I kept getting reminded of Dexter and the poor writing for the present day characters. The 90s parts with the kids were the best parts and the current day stuff seemed like filler.

It all felt like cheap Showtime writing. After what happened to Dexter after season 4, i basically wrote off all Showtime drama shows, but broke my rule for Yellowjackets and regretted it.

I think the only thing you need to know is the Empire are fascists and baddies. They make that pretty clear even if you don’t know that. Imagine a political spy thriller made by someone who doesn’t care about Star Wars lore, because that’s what it is.

Speaking of Chernobyl, watch Andor next (lots of the same actors). Go in ignoring the fact it has anything to do with Star Wars and you’ll have a great time. It’s peak television.

There are creators I follow who don’t make videos full time because the money isn’t there yet for them, but they make good videos. Sponsoring them on Pateron helps them financially, but doesn’t help them grow. if I can signal that this is good content and more people should see it, that helps the creator out and encourages more of that type of content to be created.

When I was like 8, I was playing with my remote control car, one with a battery pack you had to unplug from the car and use a special charger in the wall. After I recharged it, and was getting ready to drive it around, i noticed I had what I thought was leftover chocolate on my finger. I licked the drop off my finger and immediately realized it was battery acid or some residue from the battery, it was the worst taste ever.

Ha at least you had the chance to change your flag. I don’t think Australia ever got as close as New Zealand did to changing it.
