That’s only enough “poll monitors” to monitor about 1% of polling places in the USA.

6·9 days agoIt’s a good time to learn about what investments are in your 401k if you have any. You can look at the data sheets on the investments to see what stocks the index funds are made of. I’m moving mine to International index funds that are not tech heavy. I’m no expert in investing but I have heard that it’s sound to invest in companies that make basic things that people need.
No, it’s the other way around, all T’s in Titties

13·11 days agoI unlocked the speed limiter on my ebike soon after I bought it. It was easy to find out how by reading the instruction manual - hold down some key combo on the display box and enter secret menu.
Did some testing on my rural road and got up to 45 MPH going downhill in its top gear. It felt very unsafe so I only tried that once.
No, I’m not doing that on sidewalks or around any people. Also I am licensed to drive a motorcycle on public roads.

2·14 days agoImportant to know that terminating the antennas is not the same thing as disconnecting the TCU. It’s just a “no signal” condition for the still-working TCU.

2·14 days agoIt’s not even part of the stereo or radio on some cars, many will have a Telematics Control Unit that’s a separate box with those GPS and cellular data antenna connectors on it. It’s the owner’s choice to decide if they want to leave those antennas in place or upgrade to antenna terminators to permanently block cellular data.

Technology@lemmy.world•EVs are now 9 times cheaper than petrol or diesel to drive in the UKEnglish
101·15 days agoThere is a relatively simple solution to that problem, you can disconnect the system from the Internet by replacing its antenna connection with SMA terminators. Here’s an example with lots of details about it:

4·16 days agoThey have permanently kicked the ass of the sitcom genre. Even their new season is funny as hell. They’ve been making the show for like 18 years or something and can still come up with good episodes. I kinda hope they just retire it if DeVito is ready to quit though.

Technology@lemmy.world•Obama urges Democrats to have a ‘clear plan’ for AI safeguardsEnglish
1·28 days agoObama is right. The AI industry / cult is the elephant in the room of the entire financial world. The people with the money own the politicians. The AI cult is barrelling headfirst down a Martian mountain towards the creation of an imaginary God in their machinery. We really need some sane adults with fiscal responsibility in mind putting some guardrails in place on the whole thing.

I’m not scared of any poll monitor. I’ll tell them to monitor my pole while I slap it down on the ballot machine.
