Industrial farming is incredibly harmful to the soil. There are other methods that are far less harmful and can actually be beneficial to soil health, the problem is they don’t scale well.

There is a great YouTube channel called No-Till Growers that really goes into some cool farming methods that are much less destructive

I play a lot of CK2, but I probably play it differently than other people. I cheat extensively. I use console commands and sketchy cheat menu mod to create immortal demigods to rule the world. I get things setup and then use the “observe” console command and let the game play itself. I come back a few thousand years later and check in on my creations and see what horrors they have wrought. I like to think that’s kind of what God did.
