I got locked out of my Xbox live account for like 5-8 years with no way to recover it because my @live email was not my main email and their recovery process asked for emails you may have been sent.

I somehow ended up having a temporary email attached to it that came with a game server hosting site that I no longer had. When I found this out I resubbed to that service and hoped i could get the same email address and I did and was finally able to get back in.

By then though I had moved to the PS3 and have stuck with Sony since (for consoles). But getting my Xbox account back allowed me to redownload all of my rock band 3 dlc again.

Loads of people still don’t realise that on a numbers basis, PS3 “won” that generation. But I think culturally it’s understood that the 360 did and because of that people are usually shocked at the PS3s sales figures.

I feel like there’s more options to fix things in Linux. On windows it felt someone’s your just got a brick wall with an issue just because Windows want designed around the fix you envisioned.

All of those games’ characters are essentially just mascots though (other than samus). So they’re not really an applicable comparison for continuing a character long term in a story focused world that tries to be somewhat grounded in terms of consequences and passage of time.

I don’t think Spotify’s High bitrate is as good as it says it is, though. That’s what I’m getting at. Sort of like how YouTube’s encoding for whatever setting you pick is never as good as a local file with the same specs.

You absolutely can. It’s not massive. But Spotify does sound muddy in comparison. And I’m not some crazy audiophile either. But I’ve definitely heard more clarity in some of my favourite songs and noticed certain parts of them that I’ve never noticed before just because I was using a FLAC vs using Spotify where I used to listen to it.

At a certain point, you’re right you’re not going to notice a difference on shitty speakers but there’s something about Spotify’s lossy compression that even at high you’ll notice the difference between the two.

As someone from the UK, where most of our spines were standardised like the PS1 and PS2. And having personally collected hundreds of the latter. I’ve always preferred consistent standardised spines. A full bookcase of PAL PS2 games looks so much nicer to me than the messy look of one filled with NTSC games in my opinion.

I don’t hate times exclusives that much because that’s done extra cashflow for the dev to be able to either finish their game or polish it further. I still don’t think we’d have gotten Alan Wake 2 at least the version we got without that epic deal. I also don’t know if square would’ve bothered even entertaining the idea of porting all of the kingdoms hearts games either.

You don’t need that much special equipment to tell the difference. I have a lil shitty Jelly Star. I can tell the difference between Spotify’s High and a FLAC from bandcamp with it’s speaker, Bluetooth headphones (Sony Link Buds) and my Car speakers.
