I want to get back to IRC but it’s been a decade and a half. How do I get there, do I need some software and is there any good way to discover channels?

I am surprised about this, I was given it on Steam and never had any need for extra launcher on it I think. I’m curious what would happen with the launcher if it was installed with the offline installers instead of Gog galaxy
