Had a Christmas quiz at my work a couple of years ago, and the fact that I was “wrong” for saying there were four ghosts has lived rent free in my head every Christmas since.

6 if you count children Ignorance and Want, and if you want a real argument, are the “shadows” Scrooge sees in the past - ghosts? What about everyone in the future?
I suppose I should’ve been more specific in my comment, that it was about how many ghosts visited Scrooge - of which are the four I mentioned.
The other ghosts are part of the apparitions presented by the visiting ghosts, rather than visitors themselves
