Let’s hope that happens

Places like Reddit and Digg didn’t become huge overnight. Takes time, but upward trends are definitely there

There where about 3000 communities like 2 days ago. We were over 6000 already (5900 atm). I’d say that’s promising for now.

Community engagement is key. We’re going to need lurkers like myself to come out and help build communities that people want to keep being a part of. This is super interesting being in on something so early like this!

Yes exactly! I’m sad to see what reddit has become but I’m even more hyped for what might happen here in the future. And yeah. To be part of this like in the early days of the internet feels really good!

Yeah! Maybe we’re living in the “good old days” of Lemmy right now.

Yeah I agree. But unfortunately people forget that and are disappointed when Lemmy doesn’t have 100% of the features of Reddit and isn’t a drop-in replacement.

I definitely think that Lemmy has potential. Now that it’s attracting tons of new users, it will only take a few coats of polish to make it easily accessible for the average person.
